Shoe Designer Nicholas Kirkwood Launches His First Range of Sneakers

Meet the NKP3 lace-up sneaker.

Widely revered for his sculpted and architectural shoes, shoe designer Nicholas Kirkwood has released his first range of fashion sneakers dubbed “NKP3”. Inspired by the silhouette of an ‘80s running shoe and the decade’s bold aesthetic, the range features chunky, lace-up sneakers in three colorways in addition to a stylized sneaker-sandal crafted with a combination of nappa leather and ultra-specchio materials.

Imbued with vibrant neon hues, the first colorway packs a punch with its fluoro-fuchsia tone and high-shine black, with calf leather and patent-leather details in a subtle shade of blush. The second iteration features a mix of black and grey leather and holographic fabric elements to round out the collection. Further enhancing the feminine designs, each of the new styles is embellished with Kirkwood’s signature pearls, which have been reimagined as buttons on the side of the shoe’s thick sole.

With summer nearly on the horizon, Kirkwood’s remixed kicks and thick-soled sandals are the perfect jumping-off point for infusing your wardrobe with a dose of high-fashion appeal.

Discover the NKP3 shoe on Nicholas Kirkwood’s website now. The lace-up sneaker retails for £460 while the sneaker-sandal is £625.
