It’ll give you goosebumps.
Ahead of the premiere of its next live-action remake, The Lion King, Disney has released a new teaser trailer for the movie with Beyoncé and Donald Glover singing a new rendition of “Can You Feel the Love Tonight” in the background.
As the cast was revealed back in 2017, the LEMONADE songstress plays Nala in the upcoming film, while Glover is voicing the protagonist Simba. They are joined by James Earl Jones, who is reprising his role as Mufasa, Chiwetel Ejiofor as Scar, Seth Rogan as Pumbaa and Billy Eichner as Timon.
The classic Disney song, originally performed by Elton John for the 1994 animated film, was honored the Academy Award for Best Original Song at the 1995 Oscars. According to Pitchfork, the track also won the Grammy Award for Best Male Pop Vocal Performance.
The latest trailer for The Lion King offers audiences a preview of the 2019 edition of the soundtrack, as Beyoncé and Glover duet beautifully on the familiar chorus of “Can You Feel the Love Tonight.” Under just one minute, the video clip might be short, but it will nonetheless give you goosebumps. The Lion King will hit theaters on July 19. In the meantime, watch the full-length trailer for the highly anticipated movie here.
