Snap Reveals Newly Designed Spectacles 3 Featuring 3D Effects & HD Quality
The tech-infused sunglasses arrive in “Mineral” and “Carbon.”
Snap has officially unveiled a look at its Spectacles 3 equipped with new detailing and updated design. The augmented reality sunglasses come with two HD cameras created to capture Snaps in 3D. If that’s not enough, the accessory also transforms Snaps with 3D effects.
Detailing arrives in the form of a strong, lightweight steel frame accentuated with circular lens and adjustable acetate tips. Two colorways will be available: “Carbon,” a classic monochromatic black and “Mineral,” a tone inspired by cosmetic hues featuring a gold-centric frame.
Additional specs include the ability to seamlessly transfer Snaps in HD to Memories within Snapchat. You will also be granted the ability to add new lighting, landscapes and other effects according to an official press release. You can also export clips to the Camera Roll as circular, horizontal, square and virtual reality formats for saving, editing and sharing.
To use the glasses, you may simply hit a button at the top. An LED indicator light notifies you when you’re recording. Notably, a second camera allows for top tier recording. The Spectacles 3 also comes with a full-grain leather charging case which can store up to four charges. Inside the case is a USB-C charging cable.
Snap’s Spectacles 3 will ship out this fall and are currently available to pre-order now for $380 USD at Spectacle’s official web store. Check out the designs in the gallery above.
