A New KAWS "BLACKOUT" Art Exhibit Is Coming to London
Featuring never-before-seen sculptures and paintings.
KAWS‘ new GONE Companion vinyl figure is landing at the National Gallery of Victoria, Melbourne‘s “COMPANIONSHIP IN THE AGE OF LONELINESS” exhibition soon, and before it even opens, the artist has just announced another show. This time, the art installation will be landing in London.
In a couple of Instagram posts, the artist detailed the dates of the “BLACKOUT” exhibition and gave us a teaser of the never-before-seen sculptures and paintings that will be featured in the gallery. In one teaser image, a close-up of what we can assume is the artist’s latest BFF Companion figure features grey, white and blue hands holding each other. Another photo shows a vibrant, multi-colored painting with a 3D effect overlayed with black felt-like illustrations. Take a look at the posts below to see for yourself.
KAWS’ “BLACKOUT” art exhibition will be open from October 1 to November 9 at the Skarstedt Gallery in London. In other art-related news, Dr. Seuss is launching an immersive, interactive exhibit in Toronto this fall.
