COMME des GARÇONS x Nike Continue Partnership With Air Force 1 Mids
The kicks made their initial debut on the label’s FW20 runway.
Continuing their longtime partnership, COMME des GARÇONS and Nike are now returning with two new iterations of the Air Force 1 Mid. The design, which made its debut on the Japanese brand’s Fall/Winter 2020 runway back in March, fuses sportswear with Rei Kawakubo‘s unrefined and avant-garde style.
Arriving in black and white options, each sneaker sports tonal design elements throughout. Boasting a rough, unfinished aesthetic overall, the shoe features paneled cut-outs with raw edges on overlays at the toebox, Swooshes, lacing, ankle strap and heel tab. A deconstructed feel is accentuated with part of the ankle peeping through the various pieces stitched onto the upper. Rounding off the kicks, COMME des GARÇONS and Nike’s logos are embossed in contrasting colors on the VELCRO® strap and rear.
