JW Anderson Debuts Eco-Conscious Version of Its Belt Tote

Marking the brand’s first-ever line of sustainable goods.

After revealing its latest partnership with Moncler, JW Anderson has now unveiled its first-ever sustainable bags. The London-based brand’s popular Belt Tote is revamped using recycled plastic bottles for four new designs.

“The team and I have been looking for some time now at ways to make the brand more sustainable, and there have been some really incredible advances in fabric and materials technologies,” creative director Jonathan Anderson shared in a statement.”It was important to me that we start making more products that are environmentally-friendly and eco-conscious, but that they also still feel like JW Anderson. We have to keep the quality and craft and with this material, I think we maintained that quite well.” In addition to the new release, the designer plans to expand the eco-conscious range with backpacks and pouches in the coming months.

The designs arrive in four color options: “Black/Green,” “Petrol/Yellow,” “Red/Blue” and “Pink/Blue.” The canvas material for one bag uses roughly nine half-liter plastic bottles. Boasting contrast color themes on the iconic Anchor logo, the totes are complete with padded leather straps and a silver buckle. Each piece is held together with a leather tie, and adds functionality with a slip pocket on the inside.
