JW Anderson Leans Into the Art World for Its Latest Collection
With a campaign featuring ceramists, art collectors, writers and actors.
JW Anderson is leaning fully into the art world for its latest collection. Designed by one of the industry’s busiest creative directors, Jonathan Anderson, the new offering blurs the lines between fashion, craft and everyday life, drawing inspiration from the people, objects and creative practices that shape the designer’s world. Captured by photographer Heikki Kaski, the accompanying campaign features a cast of close friends and collaborators, including actor and model Dree Hemingway, Luna Blaise, Japanese ceramicist Akiko Hirai, art collector Ivor Braka and writer Dr. James Fox.
The collection itself feels intentionally lived-in. Draped eveningwear appears casually pinned into place, camisoles slip effortlessly off the shoulder and Japanese denim jeans are designed to look as though they’ve been lovingly repaired over time. Elsewhere, signature JW Anderson silhouettes return with fresh updates, including reimagined Twist Jeans and Fold-Over Trousers, alongside oversized knits inspired by the natural world.
Nature serves as a recurring motif throughout, with earthy hues, wildflower embellishments and playful pieces like the brand’s now-iconic Squirrel Clutch, complete with crocheted nuts. A vibrant orange hare knit and a collaboration with Scottish textile maker Johnstons of Elgin further reinforce the collection’s handcrafted spirit.
Beyond fashion, JW Anderson expands into home and garden objects, introducing everything from naturally dyed cushions and Wedgwood mugs to handmade willow hampers, vintage parasols and the first sleigh bell produced in over a century by John Taylor Bell Foundry.
The result is a collection that feels less like a seasonal drop and more like a carefully curated glimpse into Jonathan Anderson’s creative universe.
