The two unique pairs will be auctioned online.

Following the rumored release of the upcoming collaboration from sacai x Nike, a new take on the duo’s LDWaffle trainer has surfaced, courtesy of artist KAWS.

Ahead of Free Arts NYC’s 21st Annual Art Auction, the American artist took to Instagram to tease two iterations of the trainer sporting his signature illustrations at the heel, which will be up for bidding. Coming in both a black and a white colorway, the sneaker features artwork atop a custom midsole, squiggles under a suede heel and the recognizable X-marked eyes.

Bidding for the KAWS take on the sacai x Nike LDWaffle trainers will begin midday on October 16 online at the Artsy webstore.
