Apple's iOS 14.2 Is Here, Complete With New Emojis
117 of them, to be exact.
Following reports that Apple would introduce new emoji‘s in its next iOS update, the technology giant has just made the anticipated iOS 14.2 available. Arriving with a handful of new features, as well a selection of 117 new emojis ranging from bubble tea to tamales, ninjas and more. The update also includes greater representation, a Transgender flag and more, which have been requested for a long time by iPhone users.
In addition to the new emoji update, iOS 14.2 also includes support for Intercom, turning the HomePod, HomePod Mini and other devices into intercoms throughout your home. It allows you to send messages through each of the speakers by saying: “Hey Siri, Intercom,” followed by your message. The new update also comes with a new Music Recognition option in Control Center, which integrates Shazam into the operating system, making it easy for you to tap and identify any music playing around you whether you’re in apps or whilst wearing AirPods.
Lastly, iOS 14.2 also comes with eight new wallpapers. To update your phone and get access to all new emoji’s and features, head to Settings > General > Software Update.
