Miley Cyrus and Dua Lipa Team Up on Single “Prisoner”
The two musicians star in an ’80s-inspired music video.
After multiple teasers shared via social media, Miley Cyrus and Dua Lipa have finally dropped their collaborative single titled “Prisoner.” The release is accompanied by an ’80s-inspired music video.
“Prisoner” arrives as the second lead single for Cyrus’ forthcoming album Plastic Hearts following “Midnight Sky.” The tune boasts the perfect balance between Lupa’s disco-pop and Cyrus’ ’80s rock influence found throughout her new record. The visuals see both musicians dressed in retro styles, driving in a camper van and performing at a bar. “Prisoner, prisoner/Locked up, can’t get you off my mind, off my mind/Lord knows I tried a million times, million times/Why can’t you, why can’t you, just let me go,” the two sing in the retrofuturistic song.
