Get Crafty at Home This Christmas With IKEA's Gingerbread Furniture Baking Kit
Make miniature versions of the iconic home designs.
Celebrating the festive Christmas season, IKEA Canada has now launched a set of baking instructions for families to make miniature gingerbread furniture at home. You’ll be able to enjoy a safe and socially distanced holiday by trying out the crafty kit.
The Swedish homeware giant has released a series of assembly instructions for the project dubbed Gingerbread Höme. The manual, downloadable for free, pays homage to IKEA’s instruction pamphlets that guide users step-by-step through completion. From the MALM bedframe and RENS rug, to the BILLY bookcase and LACK table, all of the brand’s most iconic furniture can be recreated into mini gingerbread versions, thanks to the dedicated cookie cutter shapes available via hand tracing or 3D printing. Once all of the pieces are baked, they can be assembled with warmed sugar or icing.
