adidas Unveils the Japanese Cherry Blossom-Inspired ZX 8000 "Kirschblütenallee" Pack
Celebrating the history between Japan and Germany.
With cherry blossom season right around the corner, adidas is set to release the “Kirschblütenallee” pack in honor of Japan and Germany‘s historical relationship. After the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1990, Japan raised over €1 million EUR (approximately $1.2 million USD) during the Hanami/Yozakura Festival to help with the country’s reunification.
Featuring two new ZX 8000 iterations, the “Hanami” sneaker features a tonal pink colorway with hits of red hues, referencing the flowers in full bloom. As for the “Yozakura” silhouette, which takes its name from the blossom in the evening, the iteration comes in a greyish blue color palette along with pink detailing. Both pairs sport Tokyo and Berlin lace jewels, as well as sakura graphics on the tongue and picnic mat-inspired insoles.
Take a detailed look at the styles in the gallery below. You can now enter the raffle to win the “Kirschblütenallee” pack, which is expected to drop on March 13 at HANON.
