For those who are new to the series, Money Heist follows the story of a man that goes by the nickname “The Professor” leading a group of anonymous individuals, who are referred to as city names such as Tokyo and Denver, planning a major heist in Spain. The first two seasons covered the crew’s first-ever scheme in robbing the Royal Mint of Spain in Madrid, followed by a new heist planned and executed three years later. In his second journey, the criminal mastermind continues on with more members to his team, including Lisbon whose real name is Raquel Murillo (played by Itziar Ituño), a former police inspector.

A documentary covering Money Heist is in the works.
On January 30, Netflix announced that it would start creating a documentary for the popular Spanish TV series. Titled Money Heist: The Phenomenon, the new production will be covering the global impact of the show. It has been confirmed that the series’ creator Alex Pina and director Jesús Colmenar will be making an appearance, along with main actors Úrsula Corberó, Álvaro Morte, Pedro Alonso, Alba Flores and more.
Nairobi’s fate is still up in the air.
As recapped in the trailer, Nairobi (played by Alba Flores) suffers a severe gunshot in the third season. As of now, it’s uncertain whether she survives the bullet wound or not, but we can expect new episodes to reveal what happens to the badass character.
The third season ended with a series of plot twists.
In the eighth and final episode of the third season, Nairobi suffers a gunshot and Tokyo leads a group of her crew to blow up armored vehicles with bazookas. Most importantly, Raquel gets arrested by the police while the Professor believes that she is dead. We can expect the next season to address all of these plot twists, including how Raquel plans to escape from the authorities.
The show’s creator confirmed that the fourth season will be slightly different from previous seasons.
In an interview with EstiloDF, Alex Pina mentioned that the new installment will see a slower tempo than the third season of the series. “We came from the third season with a feeling of vertigo, because it was the first one we produced for Netflix. We had used up the first robbery and we had to show that we could design a new one with more adrenaline and strength,” Pina commented. “I think we were so worried that we got a lot of rhythm and milestones. In this fourth season, we are going to stop a little to address each of the characters, and then return to hit a burst in the middle of the season.” As answered by Pina, we can expect the drama to pick up midway through.
