Join Tyler Mitchell's 24-Hour Virtual Movie Night
The photographer will livestream all his favorite films.
Tyler Mitchell, who in 2019 became the first black photographer to shoot the cover of Vogue, will livestream all his favorite films and videos as part of a 24-hour-long virtual movie night. The concept was originally meant to be part of Mitchell’s now-postponed exhibition at the International Center of Photography (temporarily closed due to coronavirus-related concerns) in New York.
Mitchell’s “Night at the Cinema” will feature classics including Boogie Nights, Jaws and E.T. According to the photographer’s announcement on Instagram, the stream will also include ”short films, music videos, artist interviews and random internet content,” as well as a chat box for followers to connect.
Tyler Mitchell’s “Night at the Cinema” runs for 24 hours starting April 3 at 7 p.m. EST at icmyfg.com.
