Apple's New 13-Inch MacBook Pro Starts at $1,299 USD and Features Magic Keyboard
Check out the laptop’s specs here.
Apple has announced the new 13-inch MacBook Pro updated with a bevy of new features including twice the storage, faster memory and the much buzzed-about Magic Keyboard.
In line with Apple’s 2018 decision to cut gold from the MacBook Pro lineup, the new laptop arrives in only two colorways: “Space Gray” and “Silver.” However, the high-performance model more than makes up for this with doubled storage (up to 1TB) and 32GB of memory, a first for the 13-inch version of the Macbook Pro. The Magic Keyboard, introduced with the release of the 16-inch Macbook Pro, sees the return of Apple’s old scissor switch keys that offer a springier and more tactile typing experience. Also featuring a Touch Bar and Touch ID, the new keyboard offers more security with touch-based password entry and online transactions.
The laptop weighs in at only three pounds, yet features super-fast hardware including a quad-core Intel Core processor (upgraded from the previous model’s dual-core processor), Intel Iris Plus Graphics for up to 80 percent faster performance and wide-stereo sound speakers.
Apple’s new 13-inch MacBook Pro starts at $1,299 USD and is available on the Apple website now.
