Krispy Kreme Is Giving Away Free Donuts to Class of 2020 Graduates
Don’t hang up your cap and gown just yet.
Krispy Kreme is giving away free boxes of donuts to graduating high school and college seniors.
On May 19, the famed donut chain will give a “Graduate Dozen” to students who visit any Krispy Kreme location in the U.S. dressed in their cap and gown or Class of 2020 merch. The box of 12 donuts spells out “2020” in three rows and includes chocolate kreme-filled, strawberry kreme-filled, cake batter-filled and yellow-iced glazed donuts.
“We feel for all of the high school and college seniors,” Krispy Kreme Chief Marketing Officer Dave Skena told CNN. “We wish they had that moment of walking across the stage and getting their diploma,” he added, referencing the cancellation of in-person graduation ceremonies due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Krispy Kreme’s “Graduate Dozen” boxes are also available for purchase through May 24 at the chain’s drive-thru locations and on the Krispy Kreme website and app.
