Kiko Kostadinov x ASICS Unveil the New Gessirit 2 Silhouette
Available in women’s sizes on May 29.
Kiko Kostadinov‘s first ASICS Gessirit debuted on the runway during the Fall/Winter 2019 season. Now, the duo has teamed up once again to release the second edition of the popular sneaker.
Available in “Phantom” and “Cream” colorways, the Gessirit 2 model’s design is inspired by the sportswear label’s archives. ASICS’ womenswear designers Laura and Deanna Fanning have incorporated elements from the Excourt 2 – a tennis shoe which released in 2003 – which encompasses the silhouette with Gel pod detailing. Additional details include the upper’s quilted pattern, which is reminiscent of constellations. Rounding out the pair are the circle motifs found on the lateral, as well as the heel caps that come with a thin bi-tonal layer.
