Megan Thee Stallion Performs "Girls in the Hood" and "Savage" For the 2020 BET Awards
Watch the ‘Mad Max’-inspired show here.
The 2020 BET Awards ceremony took place online for the first time due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Megan Thee Stallion, one of the performers for the event and this year’s Best Female Hip-Hop Artist, was tasked to record her number prior to the virtual show.
The “Hot Girl Summer” artist’s performance was set in the middle of a blazing hot desert – reminiscent of the 2015 movie Mad Max. The show kicks off with Stallion’s dancers driving along the roads of a dusty desert in motorcycles. The group assembles once they meet Stallion, who starts spitting bars from her latest single, “Girls in the Hood.” The women then venture off to their next location, a massive scaffolding stage, where they perform ”Savage” featuring bits of Beyoncé‘s verses from the remix.
