Apple Releases Limited-Edition Lunar New Year AirPods

Decorated with a special ox emoji.

Apple is joining in on upcoming Lunar New Year festivities with a pair of ox-themed AirPods Pro. Celebrating the 2021 zodiac sign, Apple applies a special cattle emoji to the front of the AirPods case. The engraved design depicts a cartoon version of the horned animal with a winking baby ox popping out from the top of its head. The motif, in red, also decorates the packaging of the limited-edition earphones. Customers can add custom text to their celebratory earbuds, or even swap out the ox emoji for an entirely different icon.

Apple’s Lunar New Year AirPods Pro retail for $2,000 HKD (approximately $258 USD) at the Apple website.
