Acne Studios Launches Season 2 of Repurposed Collection
A continuation of the Swedish label’s sustainability initiative.
Back in September, Acne Studios launched a new drop model featuring garments made using repurposed fabric. Now, the Swedish label has returned with the second season of the sustainably-made range.
Similar to the previous release, the new Jonny Johansson-designed pieces are crafted from excess fabrics and deadstock items from the brand’s past collections. Working towards the goal of finding efficient and creative ways to repurpose materials, the range sees subtle yet statement-making design details throughout.
An oversized black denim jacket is highlighted with zipped outer seams from the collar and down the sleeves, adding contrast between the front and back. Meanwhile, bold red leather fabric and denim are put together to create an A-line mini skirt. Elsewhere, three different shirts are cut and patched together to create a new design.
Take a full look at Season 2 of Acne Studios’ repurposed series above. The collection is now available online with prices ranging from $480 USD for the Zip Skirt, to $700 USD for the Zip Trousers.
