Between Two Naps Is the Pet Wear Brand Creating Experimental Dog Accessories
Taking a conceptual approach to dog-sized clothing.
Wearable art for dogs — it might seem like an absurd idea, but creative director Rajeev Basu has taken the concept and run with it, spearheading experimental pet wear brand Between Two Naps. Using their dachshund-chihuahua mix Remy as a model, Basu and his wife fashion one-of-a-kind dog clothing and accessories — think padded helmets and reflective jackets — using a mix of up-cycled material and premium fabrics.
Their latest project, a dog “delivery jacket,” repurposes the shiny silver lining of grocery delivery bags into space age outerwear. Along with pet-friendly outerwear, Between Two Naps also specializes in padded, helmet-like hats including the racing-inspired Sleep Force 1, complete with custom “sponsor” patches that riff on Rolex and Verizon NASCAR suits. A particularly eye-catching iteration, the Sleepover XL incorporates a mini, detachable pillow into its construction.
