This Matcha Maker Is the Dream Kitchen Gadget for Tea Lovers

Cuzen Matcha offers a convenient way to make tea with its sleek machine.

Reimagining the Japanese tradition of tea preparation for the modern consumer, Cuzen Matcha has created a clever machine that makes freshly ground matcha at the touch of a button.

Co-founded by Eijiro Tsukada and Oki Hatta, the start-up company has designed a sleek matcha maker that offers almost the same level of convenience as coffee machines. While the traditional teahouse ritual typically involves manually grinding matcha and whisking ground tea with water by hand, Cuzen Matcha simplifies these steps with an automated system. Boasting a minimalist appearance, the innovative kitchen device features a compact ceramic mill that grinds tea leaves and dispenses them into a carafe, while a magnetic stirrer mixes water with the matcha powder to create the perfect cup of beverage.

Tea drinkers can find the high-tech gadget at the Cuzen Matcha website for $369 USD. In addition to the machine, the Starter Kit comes complete with three packets of tea leaves as well as a whisking cup.

For more tasteful kitchenware and devices, here’s a list of editor-approved items to add to your wish list.
