Louis Vuitton Reworks the First LV Trainer in New Upcycling Collection
Featuring customizable elements throughout.
The LV Trainer was first revealed on the runway during Virgil Abloh‘s debut Spring/Summer 2019 show for Louis Vuitton. Now, the silhouette has received a brand new makeover.
Sticking to Abloh’s “upcycling ideology” for the house’s Spring/Summer 2021 collection, the latest sneakers are made out of the original 2019 LV Trainers, which have been disassembled and transformed into a new style. Featuring supple calfskin and suede, the low-top design is available in five bright colorways and features a padded collar on each iteration. Additionally, the rear boasts an “LV Upcycling” edging, while the Louis Vuitton signature can be found on the side. Rounding out the piece are the monogram flowers on the sole and the fluorescent tag on the right foot.
All pairs come with assembly instructions for centering or cutting, allowing you to customize the shoe to your liking. Take a closer look at the collection above.
The Louis Vuitton Men’s SS21 LV Trainer Upcycling collection by Virgil Abloh will release online sometime this year.
