This Cherry Blossom-Inspired Hibiki Japanese Whisky Is for the Sweet Tooth in You
Aged in sakura wood and featuring Japan-based company Suntory’s signature blend.
As the cherry blossom season approaches, Japan-based brewing company Suntory is set to give its Hibiki whisky a makeover. Inspired by the symbolic flower, the alcoholic beverage will arrive in a new flavor called “Blossom Harmony.”
The beverage is made with its signature blend and is finished in barrels of cherry, making it the first Hibiki to be aged in sakura wood. Produced in limited quantities, the rare whisky boasts a unique scent similar to fully bloomed flowers found on a cherry tree. Rounding out the product is the sakura-decorated gift box featuring shades of pink, red and green.
Hibiki “Blossom Harmony” retails for ¥8,000 JPY (approximately $77 USD) and will be available on May 25 at select stores in Japan.
