'KAWS:HOLIDAY' Installation Lands in Singapore
Marking the sculpture’s seventh location.
After appearing in the U.K., KAWS‘ famous HOLIDAY installation featuring the COMPANION figure has now arrived in Singapore‘s Lion City.
Presented by the artist’s longtime collaborator AllRightsReserved, the 42m-long sculpture is seen laid down while hugging a miniature version of itself at The Float @ Marina Bay ahead of the location’s redevelopment scheduled for March 2022.
“At a time when international travel may be challenging for many, I am thankful for the opportunity through the ongoing HOLIDAY project to bring art experiences to different localities, and am excited to come to Singapore for the first time,” KAWS shared in a statement.
Celebrating the arrival of HOLIDAY, KAWS is also dropping a range of 10.5-inch long COMPANION figures ($285 USD) and 500 limited-edition camping sets ($750 USD), as well as KAWS-branded tank tops ($50 USD) and fans ($30 USD). The collection is set to release on November 12 at 10 p.m. ET via DDT Store with shipping beginning in December.
