'KAWS:HOLIDAY' Makes Its Way to the UK With 42-Meter Tall Hot-Air Balloon

Last year, KAWS‘ HOLIDAY exhibition took a special trip to outer space. Now, for its sixth location, Brian Donnelly and longtime collaborator AllRightsReserved have taken the signature COMPANION figure to the UK, reimagining it in the form of a hot-air balloon.
“I’m happy to be able to continue working on exciting projects like KAWS:HOLIDAY and hope it can bring some inspiration during our ongoing global situation,” the artist shared in a statement. Measuring 42 meters tall, the sculptural balloon took its first flight in Bristol – the hot-air balloon capital. Starting today, the KAWS:HOLIDAY Hot-Air Balloon World Tour is now open to the public for package inquiry, which accepts both fiat and cryptocurrency payment in partnership with FTX Pay. It will officially take off starting this October.
In addition, KAWS and AllRightsReserved have unveiled the “KAWS:HOLIDAY UNITED KINGDOM” collection. Featuring the 12-inch COMPANION, the figure is available in three neutral colorways such as brown, gray and black. Elsewhere, customers can shop a set of limited-edition containers and graphic hoodies.
