RIMOWA's Original Cabin Moon Suitcase Is a Celestial Beauty

The exterior is covered in a pattern inspired by the moon’s cratered landscape.

A continuation of its “Mars and Mercury” collection, RIMOWA has unveiled the latest iteration of its Original suitcase inspired by outer space.

Dubbed the Original Cabin Moon, the limited-edition design features a unique pattern inscription reminiscent of the moon’s cratered landscape. In true RIMOWA fashion, aluminum anodizing was mixed with an array of surface treatments to secure color pigments into the luggage’s exterior. For added contrast, a hint of red can be found on the edging, while the leather luggage tag comes in white.

The model is limited to 750 pieces, which marks the “750,000 km round trip journey between the brand’s headquarters in Cologne and the moon on the date of its launch,” as per the press release. Rounding off the suitcase is RIMOWA’s logo engraved on the front, as well as its Multiwheel System.

The Original Cabin Moon will release on November 10 at all RIMOWA stores around the world.
