Naomi Osaka is now the new face of Victoria’s Secret. The tennis star and four-time Grand Slam winner will be a part of the VS Collective, which is the brand’s new initiative that highlights the stories of women from all backgrounds.

“After learning and understanding about VS’s vision for the Collective, I was inspired to join these amazing women,” Osaka shared with WWD. “I remember going into [Victoria’s Secret] stores when I was a kid and wondering why none of the women on the wall looked like me. Now, as a collective, we can inspire the next generation from all different backgrounds, cultures, and sizes. That represents such progress to me.”

Osaka joins models Paloma Elsesser, Valentina Sampaio and Hailey Bieber, as well as athletes Megan Rapinoe, Eileen Gu and more. Janie Schaffer, chief design officer at Victoria’s Secret, stated that Osaka was a “natural choice” for the initiative. “She exudes such positive energy and continues to inspire women across the globe with her courage, determination and honesty. We are honored to be partnering with Naomi to help drive positive change,” Schaffer said.

For her first project, Osaka guest stars on the VS Voices podcast where she discusses her career and what she hopes to achieve in the VS Collective. Stay tuned while we wait for more collaborations from Osaka and VS.
