Netflix Is Expanding Its Japanese Content
New releases including ‘Alice in Borderland’ Season 2 are coming to the streaming platform.
Netflix is expanding its content, adding more Japanese films to its roster.
“Our next big bet is expanding feature films. Japan is home to extraordinary talent who shape the cinematic history of the world,” said Sakamoto Kaata, Netflix VP of content in Japan, as reported by Deadline. “With creators as diverse as the ones we work with today, we’re excited to play a role in the history of great local talent finding their voices and delivering them to audiences everywhere.”
Netflix is hosting a two day-event — Netflix Festival Japan 2021 — on November 9 and 10, which features the unveiling of upcoming Japanese live-action and anime content being added to the streaming service.
