Hit the Slopes in Prada's Sustainable Ski Jackets

Prada, the first house in the fashion industry to sign a five-year-long “green” loan, has ventured into the world of skiwear with its sustainable jackets.
In collaboration with ASPENX, the premium brand of the Aspen Skiing Company, the limited-edition collection includes custom womenswear and menswear designed to optimize performance, comfort and style in the snow. “We are excited to reveal our partnership with Prada as an integral part of ASPENX’s inaugural lineup of premium offerings for the 2021/2022 ski season,” said artist Paula Crown. “More than a fashion collection, this collaboration is a physical representation of the one-of-a-kind spirit of Aspen just ahead of the destination’s 75th anniversary. Built for uninhibited exploration, the capsule complements ASPENX’s founding vision of new possibilities, and I am beyond pleased to work with such a revered house as Prada on this momentous occasion.”
An extension of Prada Linea Rossa, the styles come with the label’s familiar red stripe logo, which debuted back in 1997. The two outerwear pieces – Extreme-Tex Jacket and Extreme-Tex Ski Jacket — are crafted from Extreme-Tex, Prada’s three-layer fabric that provides insulation and is waterproof. Graphene® padding has also been added to the silhouetted in order to regulate the body temperature. A few ready-to-wear separates can be found in the line, including a Recycled Double Jersey Sweatshirt.
