Acne Studios’ New Collection Is a Welcome to Stockholm
Featuring a special print in homage to the label’s hometown.
Swedish label Acne Studios is paying homage to its hometown for Spring/Summer 2021, introducing the “Welcome to Stockholm” capsule collection which features a special print in honor of the capital.
The collection features a range of garments including oversized sweaters, tees and tight tops, as well as a color palette in “City Rat” lilac, “Bear Cat” pale blue and an “Underground Bear” brick red which reference the graffiti. “The “Welcome to Stockholm” print references everyday graffiti — rather than accomplished street art — a nod to spontaneity and quick wit,” the label explains.
Shot by Anders Edström in Frihamnen in Stockholm, the photographer wanted to make up his own world. “Edström has always been attracted to the places that were abstract, not so defined, where you can make up your own world, where you can dream. Frihamnen is a place like that,” the label continues.
