Rebecca Black Is Back — The Viral Artist Drops "Friday" Remix
Along with a music video guest starring Dorian Electra, 3OH!3 and Big Freedia.
Rebecca Black has dropped a remix of her viral track “Friday,” putting a tongue-in-cheek twist on the infamous tune. The singer, who is coming into her own with a matured sound and burgeoning solo career, enlisted Dorian Electra, 3OH!3 and Big Freedia to feature on the hyper-pop remix.
Produced by Dylan Brady of 100 gecs, the remix is a frenetic, dance-ready take on the end-of-week anthem. An accompanying music video sees a grown-up Black recreate scenes from the original “Friday” visual. Trippy graphics and colorful special effects depict the singer getting ready in her bedroom, driving in a convertible and, later on, cruising among the clouds, much to the surprise of shocked onlookers.
