This Mask Is the Best One I’ve Worn All Pandemic Long
Read all about why the Human Made x Airinum mask is my favorite.
After a whole year of trying different masks, I’d definitely consider myself to be quite well-versed in the world of face coverings. I’ve gone from using surgical masks to N95 masks, to luxury silk masks, homemade cotton coverings – you name it, and until now, I haven’t found a mask that I swear by.
When I first saw the Human Made x Airinum collaboration, I got excited as I’ve been following the Swedish mask label for quite some time and have seen the work they’ve been doing (even pre-pandemic). Most fashionable masks aren’t exactly the best in terms of protection, but this mask is the first I’d seen where both style and functionality had been carefully considered.
WHAT IS IT: Human Made x Airinum Urban Air Mask 2.0
WHY IT’S WORTH THE HYPE: Since we’re wearing masks every single day, and will be continuing to wear them for the foreseeable future, I think it is important to find a mask that is reusable and one that you feel protected in. Before trying out the Airinum mask, I would frequently double mask (disposable surgical mask underneath a thicker cloth alternative) but now I no longer feel it is necessary because of the multi-level protection that the Urban Air Mask 2.0 offers.
Featuring a replaceable filter, the functionality of the mask feels serious and sturdy, and fits snug on your face. The mask arrives in three colorways, black, white and grey, of which I’ve been wearing the grey iteration. Simple, yet eye-catching, the design sports Human Made’s recognizable heart logo at the side, and the mask also comes with a branded pouch bag specifically designed to keep it protected when not in use. “Gears for futuristic teenagers” reads the pouch, and emphasizes the world we’re living in.
If you’re still not convinced, Airinum is also a member of 1% for the Planet, which means the company donates 1% of all revenue to support environmental initiatives.
The mask is currently out of stock, but normally retails at $95 USD. Keep your eyes peeled on the Airinum website for a potential restock.
