H&M Taps Poet Yrsa Daley-Ward for Sustainable Loungewear Collection

Along with a campaign celebrating self-love and female empowerment.

While we wait for its team-up with Simone Rocha to launch on March 11, H&M has released a collaborative loungewear range with writer, performer and storyteller Yrsa Daley-Ward. The designs feature quotes from the poet’s longer poems that celebrate self-love and female empowerment.

“It has been wonderful working with H&M on this sustainably-sourced collection. My hope is that this collection comforts, empowers and moves those who wear it, that they wear the words close to their hearts,” Daley-Ward said in a press release. “We need to be empowered to have the strength and confidence to move through the world and to achieve our dreams. You are your life’s work.”

Lines like “If you have to fold to fit in, it ain’t right” and “There will always be your heart” are printed on select styles such as crewneck sweaters to encourage confidence. Other standouts include the longline Bermuda shorts and a matching sweatshirt, oversized tees, seamless crop tops and drop shoulder hoodies that arrive in soft tones of gray, beige and white. All garments are crafted from sustainably-sourced materials such as organic cotton and recycled polyamide.
