Take a Look Inside Lady Gaga's Pre-Fame NYC Apartment Building
Renters can live there for $2,000 USD a month.
The one-bedroom apartment Lady Gaga lived in before skyrocketing to fame is now available to rent — kind of.
Available to rent for $2,000 USD a month, apartment 4A at 176 Stanton Street on New York City‘s Lower East Side is the unit directly above the one-bedroom Lady Gaga lived while writing her debut album The Fame. The walk-up likely features the same layout as the one Gaga occupied — French doors lead to a spacious bedroom (at least by Manhattan standards), while a minuscule kitchen (it has a tiled backsplash, though) opens up into the living room. 10-foot-high ceilings and a skylight offer additional perks. Listing agent Alex Livshiz sums up the apartment with a misleading but to-the-point description: “Spectacular corner 1BR/1BA in excellent condition in a well maintained pre-war building previously occupied by LADY GAGA!” (Prospective renters must read between the lines to gather that the pop-star lived in the building, rather than the apartment itself.)
