Shaving Brand Gillette Venus' Latest Campaign Encourages You to #SayPubic

In celebration of its new Pubic Hair and Skin collection.

Gillette Venus, known for its razors and shaving products, has recently launched its Venus for Pubic Hair and Skin collection. The range consists of a razor, exfoliant, shave gel and serum made specifically to cater to the unique needs of one’s pubic area.

Coinciding with the launch is its #SayPubic campaign in the form of a song encouraging women to use anatomical terms to refer to their pubic area instead of slang sayings like “bikini” or “down there.” According to the label’s research, only 18 percent of American women use the proper terms, while 54 percent “agree that society has defined what is visually appealing when it comes to women’s pubic grooming.” The brand adds: “Women want to reclaim the narrative around the language and description of their bodies.” On top of this campaign, Gillette Venus has also released a video on Instagram that follows the day in the life of an undesirable pubic hair.

Listen to “#ThePubeSong” down below and head over to Gillette Venus’ website to shop for the Pubic Hair and Skin collection.
