Balenciaga Supports the LGBTQ+ Community With Pride-Themed Capsule Collection
Proceeds will be donated to The Trevor Project.
Back in April, Demna Gvasalia unveiled the Pre-Fall 2021 collection for Balenciaga with a range of Pride-themed garments and accessories. Kicking off the month of June, the fashion house is launching the capsule in support of the LGBTQ+ community.
As seen previously, wardrobe staples like sweatshirts and hoodies pay homage to GAP‘s nostalgic designs with “GAY” branding across the front. The same motifs are spotted on pink and black caps. Celebrating queer individuals, the collection additionally sees rainbow hues on select undergarments including a bra, briefs and boxers.
In honor of Pride Month, Balenciaga is donating 15 percent of proceeds from the Pride 2021 capsule to The Trevor Project, which provides crisis intervention and suicide prevention services for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and questioning (LGBTQ+) individuals.
