Naomi Osaka Debuts Her Second Nike Apparel Collection

Demonstrating the versatility of the tennis star’s personal style.

Following the release of her Air Zoom GP Turbo silhouette last month, Naomi Osaka is set to release her second apparel capsule with Nike. Created with an athlete’s personal feedback in mind, the range demonstrates the versatility of Osaka’s style as a tennis player and influential figure.

“Nike is a place where I can just go and explore. Sometimes I feel like it’s like a playground for designers,” Osaka shared in a statement. “What’s fun is our conversations start with just an idea, and lead to really fun, creative designs that reflect who I am as an athlete and woman.”

Comprised of an assortment of T-shirts, shorts, hoodies, a crop top and a mesh bodysuit, the garments are covered in deeply personal graphic treatments that represent the variety of roles Osaka has on her plate: tennis champion, role model, social-justice advocate, multicultural star, gamer and more.

“Naomi is showing up everywhere, not just in sports. She’s at the highest ranks of her sport, she speaks out on matters of social justice, and she’s committed to providing spaces for young girls to follow new role models,” lead designer for NikeCourt Carly Ellis added. “As designers, by watching her interact in these different corners of culture, we can embed a far-reaching versatility in the collection, whether that’s through the number of pieces or through the intricacies of the details. Naomi had a hand in the whole process.”

Staying true to her aesthetic, specific styles like the crop top comes with ribbed detailing, while the utility short features a high-waisted profile. Elsewhere, the offerings are taken over by Osaka’s preferred camo graphic pattern and her favorite color, orange.

Take a closer look at what to expect above. The NikeCourt Naomi Osaka Collection will be available on June 17. In the meantime, you can now shop the NikeCourt Dress via Nike’s website.
