Chinese LGBTQ+ Creatives Get Honest in Panel Talk With HYPEBAE CN
Four individuals sit down to talk about their journey exploring their identities.
Following HYPEBAE CN’s editorial exploring the diversity of love, four members of the Chinese LGBTQ+ community have gathered to get honest about love, discovering their identities and more.
The latest installment of our “LOVE IS LOVE” series stars Kennie, Candle Eyelash, RHIYAN and Eils, who sit down wearing pieces by adidas Originals to talk about each of their experiences involving childhood crushes, personal style and beyond.
“I was watching a Taiwanese TV drama titled Prince and Princess in which characters are heterosexually attracted to each other. I thought I was not normal for being homosexual. I’d then hide my sexual identity after knowing my sexual orientation. I would talk to my girlfriends about guys and pretend that I like them,” RHIYAN shares. “It’s probably during my self-discovery that I realized there is not a boy or girl who lives in my body. My pronoun is they,” Candle Eyelash opens up.
