BTS x McDonald's Meal Packaging Has Now Been Turned Into Custom Sneakers

Taking the meal mania to a whole new level.

Since the release of the BTS x McDonald’s meal, the collaboration’s packaging is being sold online for hundreds of dollars. However, for Singapore-based creative Josiah Chua, the bright purple packaging served as the ultimate concept for some custom sneakers.

Using the Nike Air Max Plus TN as a starting point, Chua crafted the upper from the McNugget box panels and used the drink cup to create a mid-cut upper. The custom kicks are functional as well as stylish, featuring a holster to hold the nuggets at ankle level, topped off with lace tags in the form of the special Cajun and Sweet Chili Sauce packets.

Take a look at the custom kicks above, and see Chua’s behind-the-scenes video below. Elsewhere in the world of BTS x McDonald’s, the duo is expanding its collaboration with the second round of merch.
