Serena Williams x Nike Launch Apprenticeship Program With Apparel and Footwear Capsule

Tennis-inspired designs spanning performance and lifestyle.

Expanding their joint apprenticeship program, Serena Williams Design Crew (SWDC), Serena Williams and Nike are now set to launch a collection of sportswear, lifestyle apparel and footwear.

Marking the first from the inaugural SWDC cohort, the collection channels ’90s nostalgia while exploring the tennis star’s legacy. The garments, including bodysuits, tops, shorts and leggings, are highlighted with key design details such as a timeline of Williams’s grand slams, as well as “00 Williams” branding that reference her daughter’s initials O.O. and the meaning of “love” in tennis. The pieces are emblazoned with bold prints inspired by West African Kente cloth.

In footwear, the SWDC has reimagined the Court Legacy, the RYZ 365 2 and the Air Max Koko. The court shoes are dressed in traditional Kente cloth motifs and a premium black leather upper, while the RYZ 365 2 dons an indigo and red palette. Meanwhile, the platform sandals feature a “10 4 01” logo to celebrate inclusivity and diversity.

Peep the apparel collection above and footwear options below. The full range will launch on Nike’s website and in stores on September 1.
