Victoria Monét Delivers New Groovy Single, "Coastin"

Victoria Monét has returned with her second single of the year. Following her sizzling track “F.U.C.K.,” “Coastin” channels a more groovy vibe, delivering a ’70s-inspired funky bassline and laid-back feel.
“If sunshine and a good time (and maybe a lil drank) were a song, it would be ‘Coastin.’ It’s made for people with that good, chill energy and the bassline instantly puts you in a certain feel,” Monét shared in a press release. “We wanted this song to represent that freedom to finally go outside. After the year we’ve had, it feels even better to be able to finally coast freely, make unforgettable memories and have a good ass time,” she added.
The song, produced by Stereotypes, features a sample of Keni Burke’s “Risin’ to the Top.” Described as “a love letter to California” by Monét, the track is perfect for listening to in the car, by the pool or at the beach.
