Gucci Reworks the Ultrapace R With Transparent Rubber

Revealing bold hits of red.

First introduced in 2019, Gucci‘s Ultrapace and Ultrapace R sneakers have been updated in a variety of colorways and designs. Now, the Alessandro Michele-led fashion house has crafted the shoe in transparent rubber.

Arriving as part of the brand’s Fall/Winter 2021 lineup, the silhouette is mostly covered in the translucent material, revealing the interior dressed in silver and red hues. The upper dons a textured look, accompanying the metallic silver tongue with a wire dial closure system highlighted with the GG logo. Elsewhere, a black and neon yellow cup wraps the heel, which is contrasted with bold red on the collar and lining. The design is complete with Gucci’s branding peeping through the clear sole unit.

Priced at $890 USD, the transparent Ultrapace R sneakers are now available on Gucci’s website and in stores worldwide.
