Nensi Dojaka Makes Solo Runway Debut at London Fashion Week
The designer takes her cutout pieces and lingerie-inspired aesthetic to new heights.
Shortly after winning the 2021 LVMH Prize for Young Designers, Albania-born creative Nensi Dojaka has made her runway debut this Spring/Summer 2022 season. The designer kicked off London Fashion Week with a bang, showcasing her signature style that fuses lingerie with daywear.
Dojaka, whose creations are loved by celebrities and influencers alike, built on her famed sheer looks by adding layered, cutout details to dresses and loose-fitted suits. Taking inspiration from ’60s fashion and our longing for post-pandemic dressing, the collection featured body-hugging looks with heart and floral motifs, balanced out with pieces like ribbed knit dresses and straight-legged trousers. Deviating from her usual black palette, the designer added red accents to dark-toned garments alongside coral pink numbers and metallic sunset-hued tops.
With her first standalone presentation on top of winning the prestigious LVMH Prize, the Central Saint Martins graduate has now established herself as one of today’s most exciting talents in the global fashion scene. Supported by a strong fanbase including names like Bella Hadid, Emily Ratajkowski, Lady Gaga and Keke Palmer, Dojaka’s sexy, lingerie-inspired outfits are here to stay.
