Topicals Drops Streetwear-Inspired Multipurpose Balm, Slick Salve

The limited-edition release marks the skincare brand’s foray into the lifestyle category.

Skincare brand Topicals is back with an all-purpose product for the lips, cuticles, hair flyaways, tattoos and more.

Dubbed Slick Salve, the multi-use formula is comprised of stem cells, peptides and amino acids that work together to seal moisture wherever needed. Upon application, the balm will help reduce fine lines while softening the skin.

Arriving in a sleek white case, the Slick Salve takes inspiration from the world of streetwear, dropping as Topicals’ first-ever limited-edition product. The compact skincare goodie is modeled by leaders of the fashion space, including grill designer Helen Harris, rapper Maliibu Miitch, Off-White™ photographer Christina Paik and more.

“Slick Salve is for folks who like to talk back. We get it — you’ve got a lot to say. Ideas to actualize. Cultures to push forward. The last thing you need to be worried about is dry skin,” Topicals’ founder Olamide Olowe notes in a press release. “Slick Salve is a limited edition celebratory launch aligning with New York Fashion Week as we shift our focus to establish ourselves as a lifestyle brand.” The CEO adds: “As a Black and female-owned brand, we believe there are always taller glass ceilings to shatter, so stepping into the fashion and streetwear space was a given. Similar to traditional streetwear capsule drops, Slick Salve will be a first-come-first-serve collection.”

The Slick Salve is available for $16 USD at Topicals’ web store. Make sure to order yours while stocks last.
