Acne Studios Revisits Its Roots in FW21 Denim Collection

Retro-inspired jeans in a variety of washes.

For Fall/Winter 2021, Jonny Johansson is celebrating Acne Studios‘ roots with a collection of denim pieces.

The label’s launch dates back to 1996, when Johansson crafted 100 raw denim jeans with red stitching that were given away to family and friends. Initially dubbed “Acne,” the brand grew to the Acne Studios line that we know today.

Celebrating the brand’s beginnings, the FW21 collection takes inspiration from retro camping and outdoor living with five styles of jeans with an “into the woods” feel. Arriving in washes including “Earth” and “Clay Blue,” the trousers don bootcut, straight-legged and slim-fit silhouettes. Some of the designs feature multi-patch treatments, as well as deconstructed details. In addition to pants, the range features jackets in oversized and cropped options for that denim-on-denim look.

Peep the FW21 denim collection above. The garments are now available via Acne Studios’ stores and online.
