
New Balance Plans To Join the Metaverse
The brand has reportedly filed for three trademarks last year.
New Balance is reportedly venturing into the metaverse, following the footsteps of brands like adidas and Balenciaga.
Trademark attorney Josh Gerben recently unveiled on Twitter that the sportswear brand has filed for three trademarks as of January 13 last year. The filings entail the brand’s production of its own virtual goods, spanning clothing, footwear, sportswear accessories and equipment. The label plans to market these goods as sources of entertainment online and for the aforementioned goods to be implemented in virtual retail store services.
New Balance has yet to make an official announcement about its metaverse plans. Stay tuned while we wait for more details.
