Seeing Jennifer Lopez’s gold initialed nails immediately reminds me of Sarah Jessica Parker‘s character Carrie from Sex and The City when she gave her sentiments on “ghetto gold jewelry.” However, being ghetto-fabulous is what JLo is all about. Tom Bachik, Lopez’s resident manicurist, gave her stiletto-shaped pearly white nails that were accessorized with gold and silver hardware of hearts, chains and other knick and knacks. What drives the set is the gold cursive “J Lo” decal. The particular trend on the star’s nails is lovingly referred to as “boyfriend initial” nails which embodies a style to sport a partner’s name on accent nails — recent celebrities who have partaken in this trend are sister Kourtney Kardashian for Travis Barker and Kim Kardashian while dating Pete Davidson.

As “cuffing” season is upon us, this Lopez’s “boyfriend initial” nails are the perfect way to shout out your boo in the chicest manner. If you need more inspiration, take a look at the sweetheart manicure.
