Lupita Nyong'o Set to Star in 'A Quiet Place: Day One'
Nyong’o is reportedly in the final stages of negotiations.
Oscar-winning actress Lupita Nyong’o is apparently going to be joining the cast of John Krasinski’s A Quiet Place: Day One film.
Nyong’o is reportedly in the final stages of negotiations with Paramount Studios about her role in the upcoming film, according to reports by Deadline. Since the first film was released in 2018, the A Quiet Place franchise has seen remarkable success, grossing $341 million USD, followed by the sequel in 2020, which resulted in approximately $297.4 million USD, so it’s not hard to see why there’s a third film in the works.
Though the remainder of the cast has yet to be confirmed, we expect that the follow-up film will be just as successful and we can’t wait to see Nyong’o in action. That said, the new movie is set to take a slightly different approach to the first two, as the Day One movie is set to be a spinoff, with direction from Michael Sarnoski alongside Krasinski on production.
Alongside A Quiet Place: Day One, which is set to release on March 8, 2024, Nyong’o recently starred in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, set for a November release. Stay tuned for more news on the film, including its full cast list, coming soon.
