Selena Gomez Put TikTok’s "Red Nail Theory" to the Test for Election Day

The 2022 midterm elections commenced on November 8, and Selena Gomez did her patriotic duty justice by casting her vote, showing off the most classic red manicure ever — meaning nothing but business.

Gomez put TikTok‘s “red nail theory” to the test, hopefully luring in cisgendered men with her squoval-shaped nails to cast the “right” vote for their respective areas. The star’s resident nail tech Tom Bachik took to Instagram flexing Gomez’s claws which held a purple face mask with white letters that spelled “vote.” The singer and actor has been quite vocal about the importance of voting and immigration rights and causing good trouble on social media. We’re glad to see celebrities that know how critical midterm elections are and encouraging their devoted fans to take action and get out to make a change.

While the color red is typically reserved for the Republican party, red nails will make anyone stop dead in their tracks to figure out life. The blue-red shade here fairs exceptionally well on Gomez and speaking for the fans, we’d like to see more of it. Take a closer look ahead.
